Laconia 2016

So any word on bike week this year? I heard all about Laconia fest dying out at the end? I was up Wed and traffic seemed to be coming in steadily and their was a decent crowd but not sure how the rest of the week was?

Re: Laconia 2016

Hi, I usually camp for the week, but not close to the Weirs. All those campgrounds UPCHARGE during bike week. I can stay for 3 days 25 miles away for what they charge for one day close to the Weirs. After all, it's All About the Ride. I only went down to the "Carnival" twice during the week, Tuesday and Friday. $7.00 for a 16 oz. beer at the beer tent, canned music. The spoke was kinda crowded on Tuesday, the Looney Bin had a good crowd, not maxed out but relatively full, $3.00 for an Ice Cold beer and Chris Fitz Band playing the blues. That was great.
Wednesday was the Hill Climbs and that has grown Huge over the last few years, they went to $20.00 admission, but that's not bad 'cause those crazy dudes really put on a show. A lot more vendors and a Beer Tent. First weekend was a little wet, but from Tuesday on it was OK. Kinda cool but very acceptable.
By far, the Bear Bones Bash was much more fun, like the "Old" days when a biker rally WAS a Biker Rally. Even though it rained off and on, it didn't dampen the spirits of the event. Ya haven't seen a "Slow Race" until you see a slow race in the mud!!!
