Oil Bag

O.k I need to marriage to pieces of gun brass together to be able to handle vibration and hot oil, any ingenious ideas? I'm thinking silver solidering it with a inner sleeve to make it more soild. Plus I really like the brass/silver look for what i'm making it for.

Re: Oil Bag

Silver solder or braze with brass rod. Try both on a few test pieces first.

I have Silver solider and brass brazing rods so I will and test under load and vibe to see which one holds up best. Thanks.
I do really like the brass silver combo look though.

Hey fastsporty77, don't miss the first saturday of "Bike Week", Laconia. That's when they have the "Greasbag" bike show & swap meet. Last year it was held @ a local bike builder's shop. The coolest bikes. just about ALL were personally built and many had bare metal with various shades of colors produces by heat and other means. Lots of copper and brass.

O-K, you'll get there when the time is right. The "sporty" fram is lookin' good. The town of Laconia has stopped Acme Choppers from having another "Gresebag" bike show & swap meet, hope they find another location.

Re: Oil Bag

Unreal how times have changed so no biker ralley is safe anymore and I mean safe to enjoy and have open fun at. Every town holding them seem to forget how much $ we bikers give them.

Goal (mind the word goal is an approximation only) is first showing in Daytona 2012 and then on to Sturgis that year also.

8-) Just let us know where you will be showing your bike. Ya got several places to choose from. I like the Limpnickie Lot across from Millers Custom Bike Shop on U.S. 1, a few miles south of International Raceway Blvd.
