No Full Throttle Saloon in 2012

No shooting the messenger {please}, but the Full Throttle Saloon will NOT be returning to L.B.W. this year. Apparently, a three day show in ChiTown precludes them from coming to the nation's oldest motorcycle rally. And yes, I think this SUCKS.

That said, we will all have a blast 'cos it's L.B.W. and it's what we ****ing do ! Best, W.R.

Well who knows I talk to Deb at Pine Hollow today and she said that she heard Full Throttle was trying to buy the Boot Hill Saloon and put it there. But she hasn't heard they were backing out as of yet. I hope they can make it happen....

Last year I heard that they had a 3 year contract or something like that...That guy is a business man. He really had no competition last year. He out drew the Spoke by 20 to one. I would think he saw that as a good opportunity to monopolize Laconia. I liked it. Made it seem like a real bike week. He brought a lot of vendors to the field . The huge tent, bar and music which hasn't been there in 7-10 years. By evening, the bikes were pulling in and out, the dirt was flying, headlights and loud exhaust busting through the dust. Sort of a Rendezvous atmosphere. It would be missed.

Morning all - I'm just going by their FaceBook page. The post said "Angie said there isn't enough turnaround time betw. Chicago and L.B.W. to put on a quality show". Maybe that means The Saloon will be there but the dancers won't be, but I think it's the whole kit & caboodle :(

It says ALOT if it's more lucrative for them to go to Chicago for THREE DAYS {June 1-3} than to pack everything / everyone up, schlep across the country, spend 10 days here and then go back home. Taking travel, transportation costs, lodging for the period and the requisite 3-4 days of rain into account, they're prob right. As much as we all love L.B.W., it sure as sh*t isn't a gold mine, lol. Lastly, w/o the FTS, The Spoke dodged a bullet !!! Best, W.R.

Maybe it will inspire the Spoke to kick it up a notch, Who knows there is money to be made but maybe not enough. I guess we will see how it all pans out in about 36 days

Well that sucks.I bet the Spoke is lickin there chops for good busness this year because last year sucked big time for them because of the Full Throttle.

That does suck. I was going to try to go there this year.

Blaz, On the FTS {FB} page, also check the "recent posts" section on the right, specifically by Dak Hd. That's where I got what seems to be the definitive answer. And while The Spoke might have had to step up their game this year with competition from the FTS, now having a monopoly on that corner might have the opposite effect.... we shall see. W.R.

because Road overflowed the toilets?.....Because Harley Angel made the beer girls look bad?.....because they bought 60 extra cases of beer thinking that Di was gonna be there longer?....because Hawkeye wouldn't wear the diaper and dance on stage?....because.....

I thought it was those reasons,but I couldn't be sure.I'm also thinking they ran out of Carona beer because of Fox and all the other clients bitched about it and said they weren't coming back.LOL.

Because they heard Road and friends won't be there and who's going to spend all those dollars buying the band shots?

and the other reasons Full Throttle isn't coming...........MW has more people at her camp site...,they NEVER have enough beer for Clint.......some one complained that the porta potties ran down hill into Blaz's trailer.......we couldn't hear the music at the 'Hollow....and once again,..Hawkeye could no longer fit into the "midgets" diaper and dance on stage .

The Broken Spoke / Laconia will have a pre-bike week show on May 25th. The line up for Sturgis looks great but not much mentioned about the entertainment for Laconia Bike Week.

I just got news the Full Throttle is setting up there tent, I don't know any details but there tent will be there lol

Blaz, Was up there yesterday and THRILLED at what I saw Here's what little I "know" - some conjecture, but prob close, lol ! As for the tent that's up at the FTS site next to Heat Pizza, it's NOT FTS but a bar called Benders as told to me by a guy building it. Also, upon googling "Benders", there's a listing for Quiet Riot there during L.B.W. {!}, so who knows ?

Just as great, construction is blazing at The Boot Hill Saloon {the old Broken Antler} and that'll be hoppin' too !!!! Please disregard if all of this is known to you..... all we need now is my prediction of a HOT sunny week and it'll be one for the ages :) TTYS, W.R.
