6th Annual Harpoon New England Bbq Championships-Windsor,VT

Join us Saturday and Sunday, July 22nd & 23rd, at our Vermont brewery for world-class barbecue, live music, fresh Harpoon and UFO, and a chance to see our Vermont brewery at the Sixth Annual Harpoon Championships of New England Barbecue! Master barbecue chefs from all over New England will be competing for $5,000 in prize money and the right to represent Vermont in the national championships. Enroll in the Harpoon BBQ University to get cooking tips (and samples!) from the best barbecuers in New England. There will be plenty of BBQ to eat and Harpoon to drink, so come enjoy your weekend in Windsor.

What: The Sixth Annual Harpoon New England Barbecue Championships

When: Saturday, July 22 from 12:00 pm to 8:00 pm (entrance closes at 6:30 pm)
Sunday, July 23 from 12:00 pm to 5:00 pm (entrance closes at 3:30 pm)

Where: The Harpoon Brewery, 336 Ruth Carney Drive, Windsor, Vermont (right off of VT Route 5) Directions to the Brewery

Cost: $6 per person. Complimentary admission for children under 12 if accompanied by a grown-up.

Details: Officials certified by the Kansas City Barbecue Society judge barbecue in four different categories: chicken, ribs, pork, and brisket. The judging takes place at noon on July 22 and is followed by a 4:00 pm award ceremony, where the Harpoon New England Grand Champion will be announced. This Grand Champion qualifies for the nation's ultimate barbecue competition, the Kansas City Royal. Come tour our brewery in Vermont and purchase barbecued food directly from the competitors.

what a busy weekend. There was three or more things i"d have liked to do this weekend. But, Sunday I must go to Worcester for a Monday meeting, then to Conn. on tues.

Is this bbq also have teh Harpoon Invitational Strongman Comp? My bud Carlton told me about one he was entering but I looked at the date and said "sorry, busy that weekend"

I really would like to go to that.

It is a busy weekend. This is the first I've heard of the BBQ. I might try to make it on Saturday afternoon.

Sunday is the Ride for the Guard in Essex and I missed it last year, I don't want to miss it this year.

I'm headed to this Saturday as well. Sunday riding in the Nashua Poker Run.
